The Black Boy We at The Black Boy are a land mark public house located on the B1033 main road to Frinton and Walton, in the picturesque village of Weeley. You can either socialise and dine casually in our bar area, or you can sit in our conservatory style restaurant overlooking the large beer garden and tuck into a delious dish. We have a good selection of quality ales, wines and spirits including award winning Cask Marque – one of our real ales. So come and experience the warm & firendly atmosphere and our characteristic charm! We must also add, we do not allow dogs inside except guide dogs. Our menu caters for all tastes and dietry requirements. We have a selection of home cooked meals, from light bites to a full a la carte menu set party menus and celebratory buffets. Our menu list is always changing especially our daily specials boards. All ingredients used are locally sourced, wherever possible, guaranteeing freah and delicious dishes. The Chequers Located in the beautiful village of Goldhanger, we at The Chequers welcome one and all to come and have either a delicous meal, a drink or a cup of coffee in this most traditional of pubs. You will always recieve a friendly hello by our team everytime you come to visit us! And dogs are very welcome too! The building itself is a charming 14th century inn that has many of its original features in many of the rooms. Our menu has a combination of both modern and traditional food that is served with a friendly and attentive service one should come to expect.
