The Stables Nursery
We at The Stables Nursery are a friendly place for children in Chelmsford to come and learn, make friends and most importantly have fun! We are privately owned and managed by Susan Mann and Avis Richardson. When they fist established the nursery in 1993, their main goal was to provide an environment that was warm, safe, well-resourced and stimulating for children – an environment that they would want for their own children and now their grandchildren to come to – and we feel we have achieved that!
The nursery operates within 6 rooms and is available for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. Each room creates a secure environment where, through play and exploration, children can grow into confidence and social kids, where they can develop to their full potential and above all thoroughly enjoy their time here at The Stables. Their happiness is paramount to us! The nursery also caters for children up to the age of 10 years during the school holidays as part of The Stables Nursery Holiday Club for those that need that facility.
Our most valuable asset is our large team of dedicated staff who are fully trained to implement the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage’, the framework in which sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. Our friendly team is led by our Early Years Teacher, who oversees our educational provision and the development of each child at our nursery. The team also has a vast amount of experience in meeting the individual requirements of children with special and additional needs.
Children can take full advantage of our large and secure outdoor play area, and also our access to the nearby Galleywood Common. The children have told us they HUGELY enjoy exploring the natural environment! We regularly use the common to hold activities such as: nature walks, den building and weather exploration.
The Nursery is open from Monday to Friday, 8am till 6pm, parents however can arrange with one of our room leaders to bring your children in at 7.30am at extra cost if need be. The nursery is open all year apart from bank holidays, public holidays and the weekdays between Christmas Eve and New Year (the nursery does not charge for these holidays). We have ‘all day sessions’ held from 8am-6pm, ‘morning sessions’ held between 8am-1pm and ‘afternoon sessions’ from 1pm-6pm available – this enables parents to be able to drop off and collect their children as and when it is convenient for them.
